What do we represent?
In Mesopotamian mythology, Inanna represents the morning and evening star, presides over night and day, love and procreation and is known as the first daughter of the moon.
She was the universal goddess of Love, War and Fertility known to ride across the skies in a chariot pulled by winged lions wearing a belt of stars.
The mother goddess of the earth who descended into darkness to face her shadow self, she died and was reborn. Reincarnated in body, mind and spirit Inanna found new peace and understanding in life and death, she knows life’s work and suffering, and finds strength where there was once vulnerability. For modern women Inanna is a powerful role model.
She is a goddess and protectress, is intelligent, beautiful and powerful. She is aware of her position in the world and of her greater responsibility.
